@allreaders. This summer kicked off my introduction to Twitter. At first it was a way to let friends know where to find me. Now it's a micro-journal of the happenings of Summer 2009. Here are some tid-bits:
June 29.
7:44 pm.
Guess what guys, I'm out of the twitter closet.
July 1.
8:33 am.
Fbook's hipster quiz labeled me the 'party-girl' hipster. O, why did I check Hillary Clinton instead of Nelson Mandela as my political hero.
2:24 pm.
I look forward to the day the Supreme Court looks at the death penalty and acknowledges it as a legal flaw that endorses racism. (After reading about some arguments Sonia Sotomayor made before beginning her judiciary career.)
July 2.
11:53 am.
Selling books on half.com for work. Fave titles so far: Through Gates of Splendor, Taxpayer Guide to Tax Revolt, and Socrates Meets Jesus. (The third title was later sold to some buyer in the Mid-West).
July 3.
6:37 pm.
So... What do bros wear to bro-themed Fourth of July parties? Or are bros entirely self-unaware?
July 4.
3:36 pm.
Happy America Day. The day we all become as prideful and racist as the El Paso minutemen. God Bless America.
July 5.
7:01 pm.
Why is it that we only utilize rooftops for fireworks shows and lunar eclipses? I think i'm going to use mine more often (when I get one).
Just saw Ally (fucking) Beardsley on June 4's Infomania. HILARIOUS! And yes, I catch up on my Current.com addiction at 1:38 in the morning.
July 6.
3:05 pm.
Ebaying (more) awful books @ work. For example: The Liberating Law, a ten-step program that "calls for a reawakening to the timeless absolutes of right and wrong."
July 6.
7:06 pm.
Reds java. Enjoying a cup o' San Diego's finest with Caitlyn.
July 7.
5:04 pm.
Gandolf could totally kick Aslan's ass.
July 8.
10:55 pm.
Generally, it's a bad idea to infer that someone is a drunk slt 20 minutes after you've met them for the first time--even if it's a joke. Oops.
July 10.
6:58 pm.
Just saw George W. Bush on the History channel and thought to myself, "that's comforting."
July 11.
11:14 pm.
Twitter is like marijuana. You think it's lame until all your friends are on it.
July 12.
2:22 pm.
Today's adventure. Hiking to Black's Beach--naked. Sorry, no cameras. (There was a camera...)
July 14.
9:56 pm.
I have finally discovered the beauty of mixed metaphors and flirtatious descriptions in Tom Robbins' Still Life with Woodpecker.
July 17.
12:50 am.
Gallagher's right now.
10:23 pm.
Mission Bay Disco Cruise. Damn. Left my flared jeans and affro at home.
July 18.
10:04 pm.
Just saw a gay bro at Hillcrest Pride... Didn't know they existed.
July 20.
2:25 pm.
@JamieCriss A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man is not a plot-driven book. It will get better as you read it, though.
9:08 pm.
Michelle really wants a s'more. And I just got stung by something at the beach.
July 21.
10:06 am.
My left foor looks like it belongs to an obese pregnant woman. Thank you Mysterious Sea Creature.
July 22.
9:52 pm.
Officially lost my Disneyland virginity today. It was like fireworks.
July 24.
12:17 pm.
@mstyers Myspace? What's that again? (Flashback five years...) Oh yeah. I'll go back to high school and vote for your film there.
6:04 pm.
@pledgerbrb And future facebook becomes a gated community. Educated, upper-middle and upper-class members only. Preferably in flannel.
9:35 pm.
I meant wonder twin powers activate. Form of water... Well, more like ginger beer and vodka.
July 25.
5:13 pm.
Epic game of Ass Hole. Half-clothed people, plenty of drinks, the macarena, creepy neighbors and me in Hannah's booty shorts. Not very attractive...
11:50 pm.
Finished Still Life... And I'm still not a Romantic. Guess I never will be.
July 26.
1:27 am.
Try smoking a cigarette with your toes. It won't give you cancer. Probably because laughter is the best medicine.
July 27.
7:48 pm.
Trueblood, season 2. So much better than season one. Still not as good as Buffy though.
July 28.
12:56 pm.
If video killed the radio star--the Internet killed the public library, the morning newspaper, 10-10 long distance numbers and childhood naiivete.
August 9.
6:44 am.
Right now. In LA. The moon is the color of chocolate milk. I miss nature.
August 10.
12:07 am.
I don't know whether to be proud or ashamed that, after listening to the Dresdon Dolls, I want to recommend them to Joss Whedon.
August 12
8:55 pm.
@KyleFMNeal Get ready for some furry love. Caitlyn bought a gorilla suit. Big. Black. And hairy.
And that is my summer in a nut shell. Well... more like a tweet-shell. Or perhaps it is a Twitterscape.
(I reserve the right to lie in this blog. Nothing said here, personally should maintain any truthful significance in the court of law... or in any kind of artificial court the school may erect in student trials).
